2024年12月11日（水）地元西条市のSaijoBase３Ｆで「西条丹原俳句ウォーク」の作品展示の準備を行いました。

俳句ウォークは地域活性化のために2023年11月から始まった行事。春秋の年間2回の実施。加えて2月には研修句会。今回の展示では昨年の秋、本年の春、本年の秋の優秀作品約60点を展示いたしました。
会場がかなり広く、展示物が不足するのではと思っていましたが、すこしゆとりをもって展示したところ、かなりいい感じの展示になりました。入り口から向かって右は格子状になっていて、スポットライトが当たり、左は有孔の展示用ボード。左右では全く違った趣の展示となりました。
一つ一つの作品を展示しながらこれまでの取り組みを感慨深く振り返りました。ゼロから立ち上げた行事、多くの方のご協力に感謝です。

西条市市民活動支援センターの担当の方によると、12月は行事もあって多くの方が来られるとのこと。西条市丹原町のよさが発信できるといいと思います。

来年も2月に研修句会、4月に2025春、10月に2025秋の俳句ウォークを行う予定です。多くの方が参加して賑やかな会になればいいと期待しています。

[Announcement: Saijo Tanbara Haiku Walk Exhibition at SaijoBase]
On Wednesday, December 11, 2024, preparations for the Saijo Tanbara Haiku Walk exhibition were completed on the 3rd floor of SaijoBase in Saijo City.
The Haiku Walk is a regional revitalization initiative that began in November 2023. It is held twice annually in spring and autumn, with an additional training haiku gathering in February. For this exhibition, approximately 60 outstanding works from last autumn, this spring, and this autumn were displayed.
The venue is quite spacious, and there were concerns about insufficient materials for display. However, by arranging the exhibits with a bit of spacing, the setup achieved a pleasing aesthetic. The right-hand side of the entrance features a grid-like structure illuminated by spotlights, while the left-hand side uses perforated display boards. This created a striking contrast in the exhibition’s ambiance between the two sides.

While setting up each piece, we reflected deeply on the journey so far. Starting this initiative from scratch was a significant undertaking, and we are immensely grateful for the support of many people along the way.
According to the staff at the Saijo City Citizens Activity Support Center, December is expected to see many visitors due to various events. We hope this exhibition effectively showcases the charms of Saijo City’s Tanbara area.
Next year, we plan to hold a training haiku gathering in February, a 2025 Spring Haiku Walk in April, and a 2025 Autumn Haiku Walk in October. We look forward to welcoming many participants and creating lively gatherings.
The SaijoBase exhibition will run until Saturday, December 28. We warmly invite those who can to come and visit.
